NIRSport, developed by NIRX, is the world's first reconfigurable, wearable, multi-channel NIRS imaging system powered by a lithium battery, capable of measuring brain activity from any location on the head. This breakthrough enables research in infant brain function, motor cortex studies, freely moving subjects, rehabilitation, and driving/flying simulations.

The system features 8 light sources and 8 detectors (expandable to 16x16), allowing flexible placement over targeted brain regions based on research needs.

As a fully integrated NIRS system, NIRSport operates on an embedded lithium battery and connects via USB to a tablet for data acquisition and control. It adheres to standard NIRS data formats, ensuring compatibility with proprietary, open-source, and custom-built analysis tools.
